Photographs in this issue

The first three photographs in this issue of the Bulletin, obtained from the Pluralism Project at Harvard University, represent a small segment of the widening variety of American religious practices found across the country.
The last two photos reflect the response that members of the medical community made in the wake of the September 11 attacks. The first depicts triage efforts staged inside Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. The second portrays a blood drive at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, Ill. - one of hundreds of blood drives that were organized in immediate response to the day's incidents. At this hospital alone, technicians collected nearly 800 pints of blood on September 11 and 12, before the maximum capacity was reached and potential donors were turned away
