After September 11
A new agenda?

The attacks of September 11, 2001, will undoubtedly mean, as many have observed, that life in this country, and beyond, will never be the same. But what has changed? We asked four scholars of religion who are also thoughtful observers of the human scene to offer initial reflections on how their own agenda has changed, how the agenda for religion has changed, and the potential implications for the convergence of health, faith, and ethics. Three of the responses, by Christine Gudorf, Elliot Dorff, and Courtney Campbell, follow in this special section. The fourth response, by Martin Marty, appears as this issue's "Last Word."
